Consultations

Guidance before you make design or product decisions.

A consultation is often the best starting point when you need help choosing fabrics, curtains, blinds, wallpaper, furniture, décor or a room direction. It gives AWiiDA the opportunity to understand your space, your needs and the type of result you want before products are quoted or ordered.

During a consultation, AWiiDA discusses your room, requirements, style preferences, budget direction, practical needs and possible product or design options. The consultation may include guidance on fabrics, window treatments, wallpaper, furniture, décor, layout and finishes.

Consultations may take place in person, at the showroom, on site, by telephone, video call, email or WhatsApp, depending on your location and the type of project.

Consultation fees may apply depending on the type of consultation, location, time required, travel and project scope. Any consultation fee will be confirmed before the appointment.

It helps to prepare room photos, rough measurements, inspiration images, existing furniture details, wall colours, floor finishes, window photos and any ideas you already have.

Yes. A consultation is especially useful before purchasing furniture, choosing wallpaper, ordering curtains, recovering furniture or starting a room refresh.

Where products or services are required, AWiiDA can prepare a quotation after the consultation, once the necessary details, measurements, selections and supplier information are available.

Quotations & Payments

How pricing, deposits and approvals work.

Interior products and custom-made finishes often involve supplier costs, manufacturing, measurements, delivery and installation. This section explains how AWiiDA prepares quotations, when payment is required and what happens once you approve a quote.

You can request a quotation by contacting AWiiDA with your requirements. Depending on the project, AWiiDA may need measurements, product selections, fabric choices, photos, site details or a consultation before quoting accurately.

Quotations are usually valid for a limited period because supplier pricing, stock availability, fabric availability, courier costs and manufacturing costs may change. The validity period will be shown on the quotation where applicable.

Yes, deposits are usually required for custom-made goods, special-order products, supplier orders, manufacturing, installation bookings and project work.

Orders are usually only placed once the quotation has been approved and the required deposit or payment has cleared.

Prices may change if supplier pricing changes, stock becomes unavailable, the scope changes, measurements change, additional work is required or the quotation expires before approval.

Changes may be possible only if products have not yet been ordered, cut, manufactured, altered or scheduled. Changes may result in additional costs or delays.

Goods remain the property of AWiiDA Interiors until the full amount owing has been paid, unless otherwise required by law.

Custom-Made Curtains

Made-to-measure window finishes for your space.

Custom-made curtains are created according to your window measurements, chosen fabric, lining, heading style, track or rod requirements and room design. This section explains what to expect when ordering curtains through AWiiDA Interiors.

Custom-made curtains are made for your specific window size, room height, fabric choice, lining requirements, fullness and final look. Ready-made curtains are standard sizes and may not fit or hang as well.

Yes. AWiiDA can guide you through fabric options according to colour, texture, pattern, durability, room style, privacy, light control and budget.

Yes. AWiiDA can assist with sheers, lined curtains, blockout curtains, layered curtains and suitable tracks or rods.

Blockout curtains reduce light significantly, but complete darkness may depend on the fabric, lining, track position, wall gaps, window type and installation method.

Yes. Curtains may need time to settle and relax after installation. Some fabrics naturally crease, soften or drop slightly over time.

Custom-made curtains are made specifically for your measurements and fabric selection, so they usually cannot be returned for change of mind. This does not affect your rights if the product is defective or not made according to the approved order.

Blinds, Shutters & Roman Blinds

Practical light, privacy and style solutions.

Blinds, shutters and roman blinds are popular for rooms that need privacy, light control and a neat finish. AWiiDA assists with selecting suitable products for bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, offices, guesthouses and commercial spaces.

AWiiDA can assist with various blinds, including roller blinds, venetian blinds, vertical blinds, roman blinds, shutters and selected motorised options, depending on supplier availability.

Yes. Roman blinds are fabric-based window treatments that fold neatly when raised and create a softer look than many standard blinds.

Yes. Blinds and curtains can work beautifully together when privacy, softness, insulation, light control or decorative layering is needed.

Most blinds have some light gaps, especially at the sides or where the blind meets the frame. The size of the gap depends on the product, window shape and installation method.

Yes. AWiiDA can assist with shutter options where suitable, including product selection, measuring and installation guidance.

Yes. Many blinds are made to fit specific window measurements, which means they are usually custom-made or special-order goods.

Motorised Blinds & Curtain Tracks

Modern convenience for windows and hard-to-reach spaces.

Motorised blinds and curtain tracks offer convenience, especially for large windows, high windows, guesthouses, offices, modern homes and rooms where easy operation is important. These products may involve supplier systems, electrical requirements and programming.

Motorised blinds are blinds operated by a motor instead of a manual chain or cord. They may be controlled by remote, wall switch, app or compatible automation system, depending on the product.

Yes. Motorised curtain tracks may be available for suitable curtain projects and can be useful for large, heavy or hard-to-reach curtains.

Some motorised products require electrical points, while others may use rechargeable or battery-operated motors. AWiiDA will advise according to the supplier system selected.

Electrical work must be completed by a qualified electrician unless otherwise arranged in writing through an appropriate professional.

Some systems may be compatible with smart-home features, but compatibility depends on the product, motor, control system, Wi-Fi, app and supplier specifications.

Motorised products may carry supplier warranties on motors, parts or components. Warranty terms depend on the supplier and product selected.

Wallpaper Supply & Installation

Feature walls, texture, pattern and personality.

Wallpaper can completely change the feeling of a room, but the final result depends on the product selected, batch consistency, wall condition and professional installation. This section explains what clients should know before ordering or installing wallpaper.

Yes. AWiiDA can help you choose wallpaper according to the room, colour palette, pattern scale, style, wall size, lighting and mood you want to create.

No. Walls must be suitable for wallpaper. They should be clean, dry, smooth, stable and free from damp, mould, flaking paint and major cracks.

Wall preparation is usually the client’s responsibility unless specifically included in the quotation. Preparation may include repairs, sanding, sealing, priming, damp treatment or painting.

Some wallpapers may be suitable for certain areas, but high-moisture environments require careful product selection and proper ventilation. Not all wallpaper is suitable for wet or humid spaces.

Yes. Wallpaper may vary slightly between batches. It is best to order enough wallpaper from the same batch for the entire wall or room.

Wallpaper ordered for a specific project, especially special-order wallpaper, cut wallpaper or imported wallpaper, is usually not returnable unless defective or otherwise required by law.

Upholstery & Re-Upholstery

Give existing furniture a new life.

Re-upholstery is ideal when a chair, sofa, headboard or bench still has value but needs a new fabric, improved comfort or a refreshed look. This section explains how upholstery projects work and what may affect the final result.

AWiiDA may assist with chairs, sofas, benches, headboards, ottomans and selected upholstered pieces, depending on the condition and structure of the item.

Yes. AWiiDA can guide you through fabric options based on durability, colour, texture, pattern, cleaning needs, lifestyle and whether the item is for home, guesthouse or commercial use.

Re-upholstery can dramatically improve the look and feel of furniture, but the final result depends on the condition of the frame, springs, foam, structure and original workmanship.

If internal damage is discovered after the item is opened, AWiiDA may provide an additional quotation for repairs or replacement materials before continuing.

This may be possible by arrangement, but AWiiDA must confirm whether the fabric is suitable for the intended use. AWiiDA is not responsible for faults or performance issues in client-supplied fabric.

Custom upholstery and re-upholstery are made or altered specifically for the client and are usually not returnable for change of mind.

Furniture, Décor, Rugs & Accessories

The finishing pieces that complete a room.

Furniture, rugs, mirrors, wall art, lamps, vases, bedding, décor and accessories help bring a room together. AWiiDA can assist with sourcing, selecting and styling pieces that suit your space, existing furniture and design direction.

Yes. AWiiDA can help source or recommend furniture pieces that suit the room size, layout, style, existing furniture and budget direction.

Where products are available online or through the showroom, clients may purchase selected décor, furniture, soft furnishings or supplier products.

Items ordered specifically for a client may not be returnable for change of mind unless defective or otherwise required by law.

Yes. AWiiDA can work with existing furniture and décor where suitable and recommend only the pieces needed to complete the space.

Delivery & Collection

How products get to your home, office or project site.

Delivery timelines depend on supplier stock, manufacturing, courier services, project location and installation requirements. AWiiDA aims to keep the process clear and organised, but clients should understand that custom and supplier-order items may take time.

Delivery may be available depending on the product, project location, supplier and order size. Delivery fees may apply.

Where suitable, clients may be able to collect products from AWiiDA or an agreed location. Collection arrangements must be confirmed in advance.

Delivery time depends on product availability, manufacturing time, supplier dispatch, courier timelines and location. Estimated timelines will be provided where possible.

AWiiDA will communicate delays where possible. Delays may occur due to supplier stock, manufacturing, couriers, transport, public holidays, weather or circumstances outside AWiiDA’s control.

An authorised person should be available to receive and inspect the goods. If no one is available, a redelivery fee or storage fee may apply.

Report visible damage as soon as possible and provide photos of the product, packaging and invoice details so AWiiDA can assess and assist with the next steps.

Installation

Professional fitting, hanging and final finishing.

Installation is an important part of many AWiiDA projects, especially curtains, blinds, shutters, wallpaper, rods, tracks, mirrors, wall art and final styling. This section explains how clients can prepare and what may affect installation.

Yes. AWiiDA can assist with professional installation where included in the quotation or arranged as part of the service.

Clear the installation area, remove fragile items, make sure someone is available on site, disclose access issues and inform AWiiDA of any hidden wiring, pipes, damp, cracks or wall problems.

If the site is unsafe, inaccessible, under construction or not ready, installation may need to be postponed and additional fees may apply.

Removal of old fittings is only included if stated in the quotation. Otherwise, it may be charged separately or must be arranged by the client.

Uneven, weak or damaged walls can affect installation and the final appearance. AWiiDA cannot be responsible for hidden defects or unsuitable surfaces unless caused by AWiiDA’s own workmanship.

Some installations may involve drilling, dust, movement of items and minor disruption. AWiiDA will take reasonable care, but clients should protect fragile or valuable items before installation.

Online Shop

Buying selected products through the website.

AWiiDA’s online shop may include selected décor, furniture, soft furnishings, accessories, fabrics, wallpaper, bedding or supplier products. This section explains how online purchases work and what clients should check before ordering.

Yes, selected products may be available through the online shop, depending on current stock and supplier availability.

Stock may change without notice. If a product becomes unavailable after ordering, AWiiDA will contact you regarding replacement options, delays or a refund where applicable.

Cancellation depends on the product type and whether the product has already been ordered, packed, dispatched, customised, cut, manufactured or installed.

Certain online purchases may qualify for cooling-off rights under South African law. However, this generally does not apply to custom-made, personalised, cut, special-order or made-to-measure goods.

Eligible items may be returned if unused, undamaged, complete, in original packaging and within the applicable return period. Custom, special-order, installed, used, cut or personalised items are usually not returnable unless defective.

No. Colours may appear different due to screen settings, lighting, photography and batch variation. Samples or showroom viewing are recommended where colour accuracy is important.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

What can and cannot be returned.

AWiiDA supplies many products that are custom-made, special-order, cut, manufactured or sourced specifically for a client. Return and cancellation rights depend on the product, service, stage of work and applicable South African law.

Custom-made products are usually not returnable for change of mind because they are made to your measurements, fabric choice, specifications or project requirements.

Special-order supplier products may not be returnable if ordered specifically for you, unless defective or otherwise required by law.

Cancellation depends on whether products have been ordered, fabric has been cut, manufacturing has started, suppliers have been paid or services have already begun. Cancellation fees may apply.

Consultation fees are usually non-refundable once the consultation has taken place, time has been allocated or preparation has begun.

Changes may be possible before ordering or manufacturing begins. Once products are ordered, cut or made, changes may not be possible or may result in additional costs.

Approved refunds are usually processed using the original payment method or another agreed method. Processing times may depend on banks, payment gateways and supplier processes.

Warranties & Supplier Guarantees

How product and workmanship claims are handled.

Many AWiiDA products are supplied by third-party suppliers and may carry supplier-specific warranties. AWiiDA also takes reasonable care with workmanship and installation. This section explains how warranties are handled and what may be excluded.

Some products carry supplier warranties. Warranty terms depend on the supplier, product type, material, mechanism, motor, fabric, finish and intended use.

Supplier warranties may cover certain manufacturing defects or component failures, depending on the product and supplier terms.

Warranties usually exclude normal wear and tear, misuse, incorrect cleaning, sun fading, water damage, damp, mould, pet damage, child damage, accidental damage, power surges, unauthorised repairs and environmental damage.

AWiiDA can assist with supplier communication where products were purchased through AWiiDA, but supplier warranty decisions are subject to supplier inspection and approval.

If AWiiDA’s appointed installer completed the installation and a workmanship issue is confirmed, AWiiDA will take reasonable steps to assess and correct the issue.

Contact AWiiDA in writing with your invoice details, description of the problem, photos and the date the issue was noticed.

Project Management & Interior Updates

Coordinating the moving parts of your project.

Interior updates often include several suppliers, product orders, measurements, manufacturing stages, delivery dates and installation steps. AWiiDA can assist with project coordination for clients who want a more organised process.

It may include coordinating product selections, supplier orders, measurements, manufacturing timelines, installation planning, delivery, styling and project communication.

AWiiDA’s project management is focused on interior décor, soft furnishings, products and styling unless building work is specifically agreed through qualified contractors.

No. Styling and interior improvements can improve presentation, but AWiiDA cannot guarantee bookings, sales, rental income, buyer interest or business results.

Care & Maintenance

Protecting your products after installation.

Curtains, blinds, wallpaper, upholstery, rugs, furniture and décor need proper care to keep them looking good for as long as possible. Product performance depends on correct use, cleaning, environment and maintenance.

Curtain cleaning depends on the fabric and lining. Some curtains may require professional dry cleaning. Always follow the fabric or supplier care instructions.

Not all curtain fabrics are washable. Washing unsuitable fabric may cause shrinkage, colour loss, lining damage or texture changes.

Dust regularly and follow supplier instructions. Avoid forcing mechanisms, using harsh chemicals or exposing unsuitable products to moisture.

Wallpaper should be cleaned only according to supplier instructions. Avoid scrubbing, excess moisture and harsh cleaning chemicals.

Vacuum regularly, treat spills quickly, avoid harsh cleaning products and consider fabric suitability where pets, children or guesthouse use are involved.

Yes. Direct sunlight can fade fabrics, wood, wallpaper, rugs and furniture over time. Linings, blinds and careful placement can help reduce exposure but cannot prevent all fading.
